Bagpipes at the Band Shell 2023

Stop by the Kutztown Band Shell 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13 for the second annual Bagpipes at the Band Shell concert with the Kutztown Pipe Band, a student group at Kutztown University and non-profit community group in the Borough of Kutztown. The performance will include both Celtic session music and Highland piping tunes. This event is free and open to the public as part of the 2023 concert series in the Kutztown Park Bandshell. The search committee for the position of Director of Admissions invites students, faculty and staff to the open forum meetings with the candidates. Because this is a critically important position for the university, we hope that you will take time to attend all or part of the meetings and ask questions of the candidates. Evacuation Drill - How did you do?
When you heard the fire alarm, did you:
- close your windows and doors?
- take you coat, keys, personal effects (medicine, wallets, etc.)?
- move quickly to an exit?
- warn others that they should leave?
Once outside did you:
- move away from the entrance quickly?
- stay back from the building at least 100 feet?
- check that everybody from your area made it out?
- report any problems to officials outside?
- remain outside until authorized by an official to return?
Things to remember:
- never ignore a fire alarm.
- respond quickly.
- do not use the elevator.
- keep exits clear.
- remain outside until authorized by an official to return. (when fire alarm stops, it does not mean that it is safe to go back in.)
