Football Team Arrives in Colorado
The Golden Bear football team and traveling party landed in Denver, Colo. Thursday, Dec. 8, in advance of Saturday’s NCAA DII national semifinal game vs. Colorado School of Mines. Follow KU’s experience during the weekend on the athletics X and Instagram accounts, and the university’s Instagram account. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m. EST Saturday, Dec. 9. Follow the game with live stats and live video (ESPN+). The KU Foundation is hosting a watch party at 3 p.m., Nancy Jean Stump Seiger '54 Multipurpose Room, 218 McFarland Student Union. Snacks and refreshments will be served. Register here.

KU Inspires 24 Proposal Form Now Open
KU Inspires will celebrate undergraduate research and creativity. Save the date and encourage your student researchers to submit a proposal. The submission form is now open. The submission deadline is Friday, March 8. KU Inspires will take place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, Rohrbach Library. We welcome proposals for the following formats: papers, posters, performances, artwork, zine/graphic novel displays and short film festivals.

Clements Claims Fourth Career AFCA Regional Coach of the Year Award
Jim Clements, the all-time winningest coach in Kutztown University football history, added another American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Regional Coach of the Year award to his storied list of accomplishments, the organization announced Wednesday, Dec. 6. Clements was named Division II Region 1 Coach of the Year for the third time at KU (2019, 2021, 2023) and picked up his fourth honor all-time going back to his 2010 Division III regional recognition at Delaware Valley University.

Women's Soccer's Curtis and Economopoulos named All-Americans
After a historic 2023 season for Kutztown women's soccer, junior defender Bridget Curtis and freshman midfielder Katelyn Economopoulos were named All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches, as announced by the organization Thursday, Dec. 7. Curtis was named to the First Team, while Economopoulos was named to the Second Team. The duo becomes the ninth and 10th Golden Bears in program history to earn All-America status during their careers in the Maroon and Gold.
