PASSHE Appoints Former West Chester University President Christopher Fiorentino as Interim Chancellor
The Board of Governors of Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education unanimously appointed former West Chester University President Christopher M. Fiorentino, Ph.D. to serve as interim chancellor beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Fiorentino was president of West Chester University from 2017 until retiring this summer after serving the university for 41 years, starting as an assistant professor of economics in 1983. Fiorentino’s appointment as interim chancellor begins when current chancellor Dan Greenstein, Ph.D., completes his service to the State System. The Board of Governors is conducting a national search for the next System chancellor, who is the chief executive officer of the State System and is responsible for its management. Fiorentino does not intend to apply for the permanent chancellor position. Read More.

Campuswide Grass Fertilizer and Weed Control Application
TruGreen will be on campus Monday, Oct. 14, to perform our annual fall fertilizer and weed control application. These applications will be made on the grass areas campuswide. Should you see these applications being made, please stay off the grass area until it is dry. This usually takes about 30 minutes, but is dependent on weather conditions. They will be placing signs in many areas post treatment. Should you see these signs, please stay off until the grass is dry. Thank you for your patience.

Open Hour with Provost (Time Change)
Faculty, staff and students are invited to drop by and chat with Dr. Lorin Basden Arnold, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, during her open office hour 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, Old Main concourse. Faculty and staff who would like to have a conversation, but for whom this time does not work, are welcome to contact the Office of the Provost at 610-683-4155 to schedule a time to meet.
