Discussion and Film Screening: "The World's Most Expensive Home: A 16th-Century Italian Villa"
Join us 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 120 Sharadin Arts Building, for a discussion on the complicated situation of maintaining and protecting historic homes and monuments and for the second KU screening of a Rutgers student-made documentary about the Casino Ludovisi in Rome. The Casino Ludovisi's owner, Princess Rita Boncampagni Ludovisi, faces eviction and the home has been up for auction no less than five times (all failed). The fate of this incredible structure, which contains the only known ceiling painting by the infamous Caravaggio, is still up in the air. Hot chocolate and sweet treats will be provided.
Pierette Kulpa, Department of Art & Design
Weather
Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger
Low pressure and an associated warm front will bring clouds and a couple periods of light rain and showers today. Not a ton of rain, but enough to make it a damp, dreary day. High 52 with gusty breezes out of the southeast.
