Bid Threshold Increase

The bid threshold amount for 2023 increased from $21,900 to $22,500, effective Jan. 1. This applies to all competitive procurements, including construction. However, this threshold does not apply to contracts issued under master agreements, ITQs or other contracting mechanisms where the underlying contract was issued as a cooperative agreement via competitive solicitation or another contracting mechanism otherwise consistent with the requirements of the procurement code. In those cases, the terms of the underlying contract are followed.

Name Change for the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching

The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce that as of Jan. 2, the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching will embrace a broader mission at Kutztown University to include supporting faculty in their creative and scholarly work, as well as service. After consultation with various stakeholders, we are changing the name to “The Center for Engaged Learning.” Additionally, we are integrating the Office of Distance Education into the CEL and Douglas Scott will join incoming faculty director, Dr. Erin Kraal, as an integral member of the leadership team in the center. We look forward to the vision and energy that this merger will bring. Please direct any questions to Dr. Karen Rauch, interim vice provost for Extended and Lifelong Learning.
