Shope Named Dean of College of Visual and Performing Arts

Dr. Bradley Shope has been named dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Kutztown University. Shope has served as associate dean of the college since 2018, and interim dean since 2021. Shope will begin his new role as permanent dean Dec. 31. Since arriving at KU in 2018, Shope has led student-support initiatives in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, including the college's early intervention program. In collaboration with the former dean, he has managed the college assessment and accreditation requirements, student recruitment and retention efforts and faculty support programs. Shope has developed exchange programs and articulation agreements with international institutions of higher education and has led a number of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

SECA Deductions to Start Jan. 27

Unfortunately, the SECA payroll deduction file from the vendor was received after processing the Jan. 13 pay. The deductions have now been loaded into the payroll system for those who elected to contribute. There will be a doubled “catch up” SECA deduction for pay date Jan. 27.  If you have any questions, please contact Human Resources.  Thank you.

It's On Us and White-Out Basketball Game

Become involved in It's On Us and learn more about supporting organizations on campus. There will be a 'Den Defenders' white-out shirt giveaway at both games. Come show support for the KU Golden Bears and take the It's On Us pledge Monday, Jan. 23, Women's basketball at 5:30 p.m., Men's basketball at 7:30 p.m.
