McKee Sets New Program Record in the 100 Backstroke

Gracie McKee (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) broke a 25-year, program-record when she touched the wall in the 100 backstroke in 56.96 in the preliminary round, highlighting Kutztown women's swimming on day two at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational Saturday. The record lasted all but five hours as she topped herself in the 100 backstroke final later in the evening, winning the event in 56.60. She outpaced the previous record holder, Claudine Gruver, who had a time of 57.21 during the 1996-97 season.
