Marketing Students Visit EnerSys

Josh Marks and Karissa Vincze, students in Dr. Murshed’s Personal Selling and Sales Management class recently visited EnerSys, one of the world’s largest industrial battery manufacturers. After a welcome breakfast with human resources and the sales team, they did a two-hour shadow which fulfilled the requirements of their class, and then participated in a panel discussion with the sales and marketing teams during lunch. The visit which provided an opportunity to observe unobtrusive interactions between the salespeople and their customers, was arranged by KU alumnus Zach Essig, inside sales manager for EnerSys and a frequent guest speaker in Dr. Murshed’s marketing classes.
